BetPodPro is a software solution which will enhance your betting experience. It connects to the Betfair API service which then allows the software to obtain data, which the software can then manipulate.

"Why should i use your software...?"

I (Mark Welburn) have been trading on betfair for several years using other applications and yes some are good, but some are really, really bad. But the reason for creating my own software to interact with Betfair's API is "i am a computer programmer" and love trading so i have combined the two to come up with an interface which i find comfortable and quickly accessible.

But my biggest doubt about most other software programs out there (not all of them) is that when something goes wrong it does not tell you or try to fix the problem, also pricing, the top end software out there does charge too much and i believe this does not give new traders the time to learn the skills required to make the exchanges profitable.

What is a betting exchange...?

Betting exchanges allow people to back a selection to win, or lay a selection to lose. Basically when you back a selection to win your acting as the punter as you would in a normal bookmakers, when laying a selection to lose you are acting as the bookmaker and if that selection wins you would therefore have to pay the stake out at the odds matched.

These bets and lays are matched on these exchanges such as betfair.com and when placed are matched or unmatched with other people like you who are sat at a desk on their computers.

Betting exchanges such as Betfair.com have many advantages over an ordinary bookmakers, such as you can lay a selection to lose (play the bookmaker), also one of the main and most known advantages are that betting exchanges have better prices than traditional bookies therefore getting better value.

Because you are trading bets with other people and not a company such as your typical high street bookie, these exchanges take a commision on winnings, usually around 5%, but this does get lower the more activity you inccur on your account.
